What Americans Know About Religion

In July 2019, the Pew Research Center released a major report on religious knowledge among Americans. This survey did not poll for opinions, but for factual knowledge about the beliefs, practices, and traditions of major religions. Their research found that “U.S. adults generally can answer basic questions about the Bible and Christianity, but are less familiar with other world religions.” Julie Sulc shared a summary and highlights of their findings, which are linked below, where you can also find links to the full report (including a downloadable PDF) and a quiz for testing your own religious knowledge.
