At the 2019 conference Dean Karlan spoke to our group about “right-fit” evidence, focusing on how to combine sound M&E principles with an optimistic spirit. Slides from Dean’s presentation can be found below.

Dean is a professor of Economics at Northwestern University, and the president and founder of Innovations for Poverty Action. He has written several books, including More Then Good Intentions: Improving the Ways the World’s Poor Borrow, Save, Farm, Learn, and Stay Healthy, and The Goldilocks Challenge: Right Fit Evidence for the Social Sector.
