This year the Maclellan Foundation will host the Professionals in Christian Philanthropy site visit in late October. As you may recall, the fall site visit complements the annual conference, held in May each year, as a way for PCP members to engage and learn from one another. This meeting typically draws a smaller group and is more focused on the nuts and bolts of our profession. At the site visit, the host foundation essentially lifts the hood and allows the rest of us to see how their operation runs.
This fall we will gather on Sunday night, October 17th at 6 p.m. for dinner. On Monday, October 18th we will start at 8:30 a.m. and formally conclude by 3 p.m. that day. If you’re staying over to do business in the area, we will carry on the conversation over an informal dinner on Monday night.
At this time in our planning, we have identified three key topics we plan to cover, but also would love to hear from you: what would you like to learn from Maclellan? Please reach out to us to let us know what are some of your burning questions for Maclellan staff.
Already on the agenda, we will hear from Maclellan on the following topics:
- Overview and history of Maclellan and the grantmaking process, with an emphasis on capacity-building and catalyzing a culture of prayer internally and among grantees.
- Day-to-day grantmaking
- Maclellan’s generosity programs and role in the movement as a whole.
There is no cost to attend this one-day meeting. We will keep it simple, with each participant paying for their own evening meal. Maclellan will be providing lunch on the 18th. We will be reserving a block of rooms at a nearby hotel, The Read House Hotel, with more information on booking to come.
We hope to see many of you there!
To attend, please email your RSVP to Kate Sedgwick at email@example.com.
